Question by Babyjean: How do I find the right bra size after weaning?
I was a 34D before breastfeeding (I’ve nursed four children). While nursing I went to a 36DD.

My baby stopped nursing immediately about two months ago and my breasts stayed a little engorged, sore and a little bit hard for a few weeks until a month ago when they emptied and deflated over the course of a week or so. I had also lost between 13 to 20 lbs before she weaned herself–I’m not sure.

Though they are sagging right now and look somewhat deflated, my breasts, over all, seem to be about the same size as they used to be when I was a 34D. Plus when I measure my bust with that bra on (as I’m told you’re supposed to do) I measure at a D. But when I wear that 34D bra it puckers at the top so I know it doesn’t fit, plus it feels loose.

I tried on about twenty bras the other day–D’s were too big, C’s were too big–they both puckered, but I tried B’s and they were too small–I got the double-breast effect???

I ended up with something called N/C (nearly “C” cup) This feels like it fits well, but the problem is it makes my breasts look tiny. When I wore a 34D my breasts looked the same size with or without a bra–they didn’t look smaller with a bra on.

My husband actually likes it when I wear the bra that’s too big b/c with a shirt over it my breasts look nice and pretty big.

Is this because the fat hasn’t redeposited yet and they can’t fill out a C or a D, but a “nearly C” can squash them since they’re so soft right now?

How can I find a bra that fits but doesn’t make me look like I have no breasts?

make sure you get measured…. a 36 C id different than a 34 C so you might have the wrong band size. try this site it tells u how to measure

Question by I gotz that wicked clown love: Where can I buy nursing bras?
I tried Walmart, Target, Kohl’s and Kmart and none of them carry them. I have seen them on their online websites, just not in their stores. I would like to buy them in person so I can get an accurate fit. So where in the heck can I buy them?! Any ideas?
ugh.. man i looked forever at walmart, target, and kohl’s and couldnt find them….. i figured they would be labeled though, not just in the mix…. ill have to look again!
wow some ppl can be so rude! i WAS looking, and turns out my local target and walmart DO NOT carry them. I had to go a cpl towns over. geesh.

okay this is gonna sound so wierd but here it goes.. and please tell me ur honest opinion..

im 14 years old and HATE padded bras.. im about a 34C but yeah.. i’ve tried all kinds and they all are so uncomfortable.. and sports bras aren’t an option because they don’t look good under the types of clothes i wear..

so anyway i was at target the other day and i accidently grabbed this nursing bra and i tried it on.. and it was SO comfortable.. and unpadded.. and no underwire..

so my question is.. if it’s comfortable is it okay if a 14 year old wears a nursing bra for comfort? thank you and please don’t be mean.
