Question by : Absolutely necessary items for a newborn- please review this list. Thanks!?
Hi. I’m pregnant and putting together a shopping list for what I will need for the baby. I’m on a budget and a minimalist so I was wondering if there was anything more that is needed for the first few weeks at home or anything where I can do without. If it helps, I am planning to breastfeed and don’t mind doing laundry every day.

- Car seat
- Stroller
- Crib
- Crib mattress
- Waterproof pad to go over the crib mattress to protect from diaper leaks and such
- 2 crib sheets
- 3 big boxes of diapers(112 in each box)
- Big box of wipes(400 wipes in the box)
- Breast pump
- 9 bottles
- 10 burp cloths
- 8 receiving blankets
- 6 onesies
- 6 sleepers
- 1 heavier weight blanket(I’m due in October)
- diaper bag
- 6 pacifiers
- 1 little outfit for going out
- 1 rattle
- 4 nursing bras

Ooops. I forgot to list but did in fact buy baby soap and four really soft baby washcloths. I was just planning on washing her in the sink.

You will also need breast pads, milk storage bags, and some cream for your nipples believe me you’ll need it! Also I would buy 3 big boxes only one because babies grow so fast. I bought a bunch for my first and ended up with a lot of extras because she grew out of them.
